Mila & Pauls Lakeside Mont Tremblant Wedding
Posted on 10 February 2017
I worked with Mila and Paul from a distance from Toronto to Montreal in the planning of their stunning Mont Tremblant Wedding. In fact I work with a lot of clients remotely and the wonders of technology make this so easy now! As Mila and Paul were having an intimate wedding, the great news is that when working with us at An English Rose we are not fixed on packages and my clients love that they can choose what really applies to them with the planning! So in this instance we found the venue and 5 key vendors for their day as well as created their itinerary and set up plan on the day which was then shared with all their vendors in advance so that everyone was very clear on the day of who, what, why, where & when 🙂
Because it was an intimate wedding and in the area of Mont Tremblant there are a few wonderful options, but one of course stood out above the rest which is the stunning La Quintessence Hotel, over looking the lake.
The couple on this occasion chose to have some ‘first look’ pictures before the wedding and although some people are against this because of “tradition”, I think this is a great idea for 2 reasons…. 1) you do not have to rush your couple / wedding party shots and 2) you actually get to enjoy the cocktail hour, eat & drink and get to mingle with your guests! I must admit they got some great shots with the talented Tim Chin!
The ceremony took place at the waters edge by Michel Boulanger from Mariages a Bras Ouverts and it was just a perfect day in September, with blue skies and sunshine! The colours Mila chose for her bridesmaids was a navy blue which also matched the groom and his groomsmen and of course the nature around them, plus she bought in an accent colour of purple and the soft sage & greens in her flowers.
Cocktails took place at the waters edge and then guests were escorted up to dinner, and again because this was a small wedding, the guests could actually choose their meal from the menu’s provided on the tables.
For decor the flowers were created into wooden bistro boxes, the guest signing book was a collection of postcards & pens and then touches such as the marquee letters were added for fun! For favors our guests had great enjoyment with their “champagne” flavoured gummy bears and later that night were treated to Duck Confit Poutine!!
Regardless of having a small party, this group wanted to celebrate and dance through the night which is exactly what they did with On The Beat Events!
“From the very beginning Rachel was eager to help and always quick to respond to any and all questions. Rachel is so organized and made sure we were never falling behind on “wedding tasks”. We always felt like we were in good hands and were impressed with how many strong relationships she’s built with some amazing vendors. Our vendors (even those that we didn’t book through Rachel!) all spoke so highly of Rachel which is a true testament to how great a wedding planner she is. We can’t thank her enough for all of her help and would not hesitate to recommend her services.”
