What is a Wedding Planner?

A wedding planner or bridal consultant is someone who specializes in engagements, wedding and honeymoon planning. Their training and professional qualifications enables them to understand every aspect of wedding planning so that you are able to enjoy making the decisions without all the running around.

What are the benefits of using a Wedding Planner?

Most couples are busy working full time, therefore the first benefit of using a wedding planner is reduction of time for the couple. Many Wedding Planners have relationships with vendors locally and have also negotiated discounted rates which are passed onto the bridal couple. Your planner will take care of every detail so that you can spend time with your family and friends and enjoy being ‘engaged’. Have fun on your wedding day knowing your wedding planner is working behind the scenes to make your vision become a reality.

Can I afford a Wedding Planner?

A wedding planner should be part of your overall budget and not an extra expense. In fact, we will save you money as we often will suggest alternative options which will help reduce your budget in addition to forwarding onto to you discounts received from vendors.

What qualities should I look for in a Wedding Planner?

Anyone can call themselves a wedding planner, therefore look for someone who has undergone professional training and who is qualified. In addition look for someone who is associated with a professional association such as The Wedding Planner Institute of Canada or The Association of Bridal Consultants.

Make sure you are completely comfortable with the person you choose, as you will be spending a lot of time together planning one of the most important days of your life.

Won’t a Wedding Planner take over and want to run the whole show?

Our packages give complete flexibility on how much or little support you need in organizing your wedding. Our job is to listen to you and offer support to you and your family during this time.

Should I have a contract with my Wedding Planner?

Yes, you should have a written agreement between yourself and your Wedding Planning outlining the services agreed upon, prices, payment schedules, and responsibilities of each person involved in the planning of your day.
