Manon Pilon & Stephen Noel Wedding

Saturday 20th June 2015

Villa Ranch, Sutton

Manon and Stephen were both getting married for the 2nd time and as neither of them had a big wedding first time around, it was very special and important to them to have a wedding with all the traditions this time!

I actually met Stephen about 10+ years ago at a BNI meeting in Vaudreuil, so it just goes to show the power of networking and years later he contacted me to support them with the wedding planning which was my absolute pleasure.

Manon and Stephen wanted a real summer solstice wedding and chose a stunning private home in Sutton right on the border of the US.  This home could not only accommodate the wedding, but make a perfect location for all the family to come together for a “weekend”.

We arrange for a tent to be put up in the back garden to accommodate the 100 guests and set up the ceremony on the terrace looking into an arbour which was adorned in flowers and greenery… perfect natural setting.

The ceremony was very relaxed and lots of fun and to start the ceremony we had both wedding rings locked in a padlock which was then passed to every guests to hold to their heart and then pass on to the next person so that everyone touched and blessed the couple’s rings!

The weather could not have been more perfect with blue skies and hot sunshine, so we had plenty of iced water ready for guests upon arrival.

Manon & Stephen went for an Orange & Fuchsia colour scheme and had lots of lanterns and 100’s of fairy lights inside the tent. They also had a cute sign post including “stargazing” for later in the evening.

Place cards were hung from a frame with chalk paper and we also had a chalkboard menu and chalkboard itinerary of the day’s activities!

A couple of really unique ideas was that instead of a guest signing book, we had wine bottles numbered for their anniversaries and guests could write notes for them to open over the next 40 years!!

Later in the night guests were invited enjoy the “Pie Table” a favourite of the grooms and to visit the fire pits to eat smores and do some ‘stargazing’ and what a perfect night it was!
