This wedding was just a ‘fairy-tale’ wedding from beginning to end…. The couple had been together for a number of years and had 3 beautiful children, but wanted to wait until they could create a magical wedding day for themselves, their family & friends and that is exactly what happened!

The couple booked the famous Notre-Dame Basilica for their ceremony and when I opened the Bentley to help Marie out, the dress just surrounded her and she looked just radiant!  The processional started with the groom Fred walking down the aisle with their 3 children, William, Eva-Rose and little Dhalia and from there on in it really was magical.

At The Ritz guests were welcomed with a “Red Carpet” photo shoot and then escorted through the Oval Ballroom which we had hidden with a draped hallway through to the Terrace where we set up a clear tent and had the amazing M’Michel electronic harpist perform for all the guests.

The card table was just stunning and Yves Chenier created 3 huge magnified balls at the bottom of the floral arrangements to again include the children’s names with their flowers… “Sweet William”, “Rose” and “Dhalia”…sometimes just the simple touches can mean so much!

The colour scheme for the wedding was blush & gold and we had blush linens & napkins with a gold swirl throughout and then stunning high centre pieces with shades of pink, blush & white tones with smaller arrangements at the bottom and candles and every table was light up with pin-spots.  Guests also received macaroons in a beautiful lace designed box and to be honest I wish I was at the kids tables as they had their own candy bar along the middle of the table mixed with flowers and candles to keep them happy!!

During dinner Giles Caplan entertained us and the wedding party also created an amazing homage video to the couple which was a lot of fun and a surprise!  The couple then took their first dance with their daughter Eva-Rose and her friends dancing in circles around them which was very cute!

During dessert Marie changed into her 2nd wedding dress in anticipation of the party and to everyone’s surprise the curtains on the stage dropped and guests were amazed by the 70’s Band “Discoteque” who then took over for the next 90 minutes – now what is how you really get a party started.

Later into the night DJ Abeille took the stage and guests partied late into the evening, with what else, but late night poutine!
